Way Behind on Posting Again!

I am so behind again on posting on our blog!!! I just looked at my last post and realized how much Lucas has grown since this summer! Below are a few pics from Lucas's first birthday! He loved eating birthday cake!!! I will try to get some pics posted soon of his birthday party!!

Fun Day at the IGA

The Reedsburg IGA is gearing up for Reedikulus day on Saturday and have had 3 days full of fun events for families! Today they had a Fire Truck and a Police Car at the IGA for the kids to explore. The kiddos could even get fingerprinted for Child ID..but both big boys were not into that. Below are several photos of Ben enjoying the fire truck! It was a challenge to get him to leave!

A few events inside the store were: Oreo Stacking...Make a fruit kabob...and complete a scavenger hunt inside the store! Below the boys are stacking up their oreos!! JJ managed to make a stack of 16 and Ben's stack was 14!!

When we finally finished the activities we headed to McD's to get some lunch! We got a large smoothie to share! And Lucas enjoyed every sip!!! He would start laughing and jumping when I brought the cup towards him and if I tried to take a sip he would start to scream!!! It was too cute! Mmmmmmmm...sugar :)

Just A Swingin'

As many trees as we have in our yard, none of them are suitable to hang a swing from. So...we have our baby swing hanging in our garage (sad I know!) Anyways...Lucas loves the swing and I managed to snap a few photos of him enjoying it!

Strange Sleeper

Nights in the Lancaster household are never dull! Both Ben and JJ have inherited Mark's habit of being a sleepwalker! So last night it was Ben at 9:30...after we got him back to bed, it was JJ around 10:30, after getting him awake and reoriented Lucas woke up to eat! When Mark went in to get Lucas this is how he found Ben sleeping!!! Poor Benny-Ben! I don't know how this was even comfortable! Luckily I could pick him up and get him back into bed without waking him!

Off to Mirror Lake!

The boys have been begging to go to a beach all this week! So I decided that we would head out to Mirror Lake this morning! It was a nice day to go! When we arrived, there were only a few kids there and after they left we had the beach to ourselves for a little while. But by lunchtime the people started rolling in! But it was a fun morning! Lucas enjoyed eating the grass, Ben enjoyed playing by me (Ben:"The water is yucky!") and JJ managed to find friends to play with in the water the whole time we were there! Here was the only time that Ben got close to the water himself.

Milwaukee Zoo

We headed out to the Milwaukee Zoo last week with the boys! When we first got there we realized that we had forgotten a hat for Ben! And while browsing the hats, JJ found this hat that he had to have! He promised to give Mark money from his lawn mowing jobs when we got home!

Mark's favorite thing to do at any zoo is to create a plastic figure at the Mold-A-Rama machine! Here they are making monkeys! Of course, the first thing to do is smell the warm plastic smell when it comes out of the machine!

AHHHHH! The misting station! The best thing at the zoo!!!!

Yikes! A rattlesnake! This is as close as JJ will ever get to a rattlesnake!

JJ and I rode the Sky High ride! Here is our view looking down at the boys! JJ wouldn't open his eyes the first half, but the second half he realized how cool it was to get such a "bird's eye" view of the zoo!

Of course we had to ride the train! You can't see Ben, but he is next to me anxiously waiting for the train to get moving!!!!

Fourth of July

I am trying to catch up on some posts that I forget to do!!! Here are a few memorable moments from our Fourth of July! The fireworks stash ready to be lit!!

This and That!

To start off here is our newest addition who isn't so new anymore or little! Lucas is now 7 months old..weighs 22 pds and is about 27 inches long! He talks up a storm and loves to clang two objects together! It is hard to believe that he is so big already! I took the boys to a berry patch the other day! JJ loved picking the berries! He could probably keep going all day if we let him! Ben, on the other hand, could care less! He was more intrigued by the tractors, trailers, and the gator they had at the berry farm! We did have fun though and enjoyed some fresh raspberries!

Mark tried Lucas out in the big tub last week and he did great! He loves to splash in the water so this gave him a little more room to do so! It is sad to see the baby tub being put away..just another sign that he is growing up so much already!

After the Museum

Everyone was beat after our day at the museum! Each boy fell asleep within minutes of leaving the museum!!!

That night we decided to stay at the hotel for supper so we ordered in pizza! I caught a few pics of Ben chowing down on the pizza..the boy ate more than me!!!

Museum of Science and Industry

The next day we went to the Museum of Science and Industry. The boys had a great time with all of the exhibits. Below is a picture of the boys in the tractor that is part of the agriculture exhibit.Here the boys are walking in the to the section with the airplanes and the large model railroad system set-up.

Of course there had to be legos at the museum and of course we had to stop and play with them for awhile!! I swear I can't get away from these things..even on vacation!
