Water Day!!!

After getting the front yard mowed this morning. The boys and I decided to break out the water toys!! We started with the pool and then added the slip N slide. After about an hour of playing in the water they were ready for a little snack and book break. The boys read books together and then JJ read for awhile by himself. It was a easy going morning and Ben was ready for a nap by the time we headed in for lunch!

Butterfest Parade

What a day today! Jeremiah was in the Reedsburg Butterfest parade for Cub Scouts. I thought it was going to be a long, tiring day, but it turned out GREAT! Ben was very well behaved and enjoyed all the sights and sounds of the parade. JJ did a great job handing out brochures to the crowd and seeing all of his school friends and teachers. After we were done walking in the parade we found a place to sit and watch the rest of it. The boys loaded up on candy and Ben even got a free sippy cup!!! Ben loved seeing all of the different vehicles in the parade and JJ's favorite came at the end...the Mystery Machine!! What a fun day!

Pillow Fun!

The boys have found a new way to occupy themselves this summer! They love to gather up the pillows from around the house and create a huge pile! Then the fun begins! They jump and roll and bury each other in the pillows! So far there have been no major injuries:) And thankfully they are very good about cleaning up and putting the piles away when the fun is over.

A Day at the Farm

Our first big trip for the summer was to the Sauk County Farm Breakfast! The boys had a great time and were very patient waiting for breakfast! We started out by getting a ride to the farm in a tractor and wagon. Ben thought this was very cool! Then we ate our breakfast and then started to explore!
Our first stop after eating breakfast was at the petting zoo! JJ was kind enough to share his money with Ben and bought several cones of food for them to feed to the goats!!! Ben thought it was hilarious to have the goats eating out of his hand!

We had to check out all of the farm equipment and climb up on some too!

A few fun shots of the boys checking out the cows and the hay! JJ is such a nut when it comes to posing for pictures. See below for example:)

Finally after a few hours we were ready to head back to the car. Of course we couldn't take the regular wagon and tractor, we had to wait for the one where you sat on the edges! It was a little bit of a wait for this one, but the boys enjoyed it! What a fun day!
