Falling Asleep!

Over the last few months we caught both boys falling asleep in very odd ways!

Jeremiah never fell asleep in the high chair. So we were shocked when Ben did it one night after supper! The poor guy just could not keep his eyes open anymore!!

And here is Jeremiah! We went into his bedroom one night to check on him and found him like this! We just had to take a few snapshots to share with him when he woke up the next morning! I am not sure why he put on the sleeping mask, but it must have helped! LOL!!

A little behind....

I have gotten way behind on blogging lately. The holiday season took ahold and little else got done! Well....since I last blogged Benjamin turned 6 months and survived his 6 month shots! We celebrated Thanksgiving at home with my mom and brother. We also celebrated Jeremiah's 6th birthday! It is hard to believe that my first baby is 6 already! Here are a few pictures from the last few months.

This a picture of Jeremiah with his new haircut! He was sooo excited to get his hair cut with spikes. His big hope was to get a mohawk, but we thankfully talked him out of that:)

We were finishing up supper and when I looked over at Ben he was starting to doze off in his highchair. This NEVER happens in our family. JJ never fell asleep anywhere except for his car seat and his bed. So to see Ben fall asleep in the highchair was pretty amazing! We of course had to take several pictures to document this once in a life time moment!

Here are the love birds 5 months later. Ben is on the left and Abby is on the right. We had a recent playdate with a few friends and I caught this picture of the two kids on the floor. Abby was so cute holding onto Ben's arm! The romance continues!!!!

Halloween Fun!

Halloween was so much fun this year, but the time went by so quickly! Jeremiah was a Stormtrooper this year and Ben was a skunk! We started out trick or treating over by a a few of our friends houses. JJ did great going up to the door and saying "Trick or Treat!" and of course a nice "Thank You!" after getting the candy. After a half hour, Ben and I headed back to the house and Mark and JJ continued trick or treating for another hour! We have enough candy to last us a year!

THE LOOT!

Fun In Chicago!

During a recent trip to Chicago we took JJ to Haunted Trails!! We had a great time playing minature golf. JJ swung at the ball like a baseball bat! And after hitting it one or two times he simply used his feet to get the ball in! It was the quickest 18 holes of mini golf that Mark and I have played.

This was the final hole in the course. JJ is such a ham!

We took some time to go to a mall that had a Lego store! This is JJ's newest interest! He picked up a new kit and of course had to put together as soon as we got back to the house. Here are the two boys finishing up the new lego kit.

I caught a few moments of Ben chatting up a storm (he gets that from his big brother). Plus he is big into rolling over now! You can barely put him down on the floor and he is onto his tummy within a few seconds! We are going to need to buy a baby gate soon!

Jeremiah's first field trip!

The kindergarten classes took off on their first field trip! We headed up to a local apple orchard as part of our unit on apples. Jeremiah sat with me on the way up there, but rejoined his class once we arrived. It was alot of fun!

I caught this fun picture of B.B. just relaxing in the sunshine! JJ and I called her name to see if she would move, but all she did was turn her head to glance at us and went back to relaxing.

JJ learns to whistle!

Jeremiah worked hard all summer on learning how to whistle. Here is one of his practice sessions!!! He is getting pretty good at it now and daddy has even taught him the art of whistling at a pretty girl!!

I had to go in and take a quick picture of Jeremiah one night when I found him sleeping sideways on his bed! What a nut!

Ben's first food..PEAS!

At Ben's 4 month appointment we got the go ahead from the doctor to try fruits and veggies with Ben. So the first veggie we tried was peas!! Ben's reaction varied from..."What the heck are you feeding me?" to "I guess I can swallow these down." It was hilarious to see his first reactions to his first real food. I have to tell you that since then we have tried more vegies and so far sweet potatoes seem to be our favorite so far.

Here is the "What the hell is this?" look! Priceless.

The Boys

Here is the latest picture of the two boys. It took a little bribery to get JJ to pose with Ben for this picture, but I did get it!! Jeremiah is starting to enjoy Ben more now that Ben is starting to play with toys and interact with us more. The other day he said to me, "I am so glad that I have a brother!" It only took him four months to get to that point! Oh well.

Ben Turns 4 months Old!

I know this is a little late...sorry. Things have been crazy since I started back to work. Ben is now 4 months old!! He currently weighs 19 lbs 3 ozs and is 27 1/2 inches long! I know, I know, he is HUGE!! The doctor kept making that comment throughout his exam. Ben also had 4 shots given and took them like a trooper. He cried for about a minute and was over it!

We decided to give cereal a try since Ben is getting close to 4 months and seems to want to eat ALL the time! He wasn't too excited or interested so we are not going to push it too much. But it was still fun to see his reaction.

Jeremiah starts Kindergarten!

It is hard to believe, but Jeremiah has started kindergarten! He is enjoying it quite a bit and looks forward to going. If asked his favorite part of the day is recess! He is going to the same school I teach at so he is very familiar with the building and the staff. Here are a few pictures of his first big day!

Welcome to my blog!

I have been wanting to try this out for awhile and have decided to finally do it before heading back to school. I am hoping to use this as a way to share events and photos with friends and family that we don't get to see very often. Let me know what you think:)
